Wasn't expecting much... got a whole lot more awesome than I expected. I'd heard it had been critically poo-pooed, but I really liked it.

Also, Hans Zimmer used some electrical-type gee-tars at one point. And that kicked ass.

I watched Eraserhead last night.

What.

The.

Fuck.

Some movies, you watch and go "Huh... I wonder what's going on..." but in a "I'm still interested because the plot has me hooked" way.

And sometimes, you just go, "What the fuck is going on? WHY IS THERE A LADY IN THE RADIATOR THAT SINGS?! AND WHY DID THAT MAN'S SUPPER POOP BLOOD?!"

Yeaaah.

It wasn't bad by any means; it was an *art* film. for the point of view of art, hey... great! But beyonf that, it's toooo fucked up.

Unless you watch it whilst on drugs. Then it...well... fuck it'd just make me go hide in a corner and cry.

They had to put Peebles to sleep last night. He'd been running a fever on Thursday, got a little better, and then by yesterday, couldn't keep his body temperature up. He couldn't stand or even blink; the vet thinks he had a stroke.

It's a possibility that strokes come with the territory of the bone disease he had (that made him so tiny). But that disease is so rare, that no one knows.

I urge everyone to not by presents for Xmas... it's the greatest thing ever.

Now, we bought stuff for jill's neice and nephew, given their "kid" status.

But we've got a nice agreement with everyone else that says "hey, no presents" and goddamn that makes this holiday a little less sucky. Not much, but a little.
